Tubing Trips

This tube trip is the perfect summer activity. The trip starts and ends at the Blue Heron Mine interpretive area in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The 1½ - 2 hour trip covers about a mile of river and includes several Class I and one Class II rapid (Joe Shoals). The Blue Heron Mine interpretive area is a partially restored mining town with a self- paced walking tour. Doing the tour either before or after the tube trip makes for a very pleasant afternoon.

$10.00/person; Minimum group size: 15, Minimum age: Must be at least 7 years old for a single tube or 4 years old for a double tube (must be with an adult). Minimum weight: 25 lbs

Youth River Tubing Outing
When: Tuesday, July 31st ,Meeting at the Church at 8am [Return time approximately 8-9 pm]

What: A Day of river tubing, sightseeing at Cumberland Falls State Park, and fun.

Where:	Sheltowee Outfitters
What to Bring:	A. Signed release form 1) from Church and 2) from Outfitters;
	B. Appropriate clothes (t-shirt, shorts that dry quick, no flip-flops, crocs, slides, shoes need buckles, lace, etc), A change of clothes for after tubing. C. Money for dinner (at a fast food or pizza place) and extra, if desired (souvenirs, extra snacks)

How to reserve your spot: Contact Mike Spratt (859-823-0972) no later that Sunday, July 8.

Cost of River Tubing: $10 per person to be paid no later than Sunday, July 8.

A picnic will be provided. Youth will need to bring money for dinner.
