I had been teaching my three-year old daughter, Caitlin, the Lord's Prayer for several evenings at bedtime. She would repeat after me the lines from the prayer. Finally, she decided to go solo. I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word, right up to the end of the prayer: "Lead us not into temptation," she prayed, "but deliver us from E-mail.

Winter Blitz 2007
On January 26th-28th, the United Methodist Youth Group set off for "Winter Blitz" in Louisville, Kentucky. There was plenty of fun and exciting things for everyone to do. Each day the party kicked off with a kick butt Christian band called the "Robbie Seay Band". Not only could they rock the house but they’re inspirational songs set
the mood for the entire event. You could always expect lots of laughter in the house with "Maddogs and Englishmen". They were an improvisation team full of jokes and humor with a dramatic twist. The highlight of the retreat was Dr. Lori Salierno. She was a spirited motivational speaker who didn’t beat around the bush when addressing the issues our youth face day to day. Dr. Salierno was able to reach the kids on their level. She told stories and used personal experiences to teach the kids how to deal with the problems today’s teenagers face. One of the really cool things that set the Williamstown United Methodist Youth Group apart was during Saturday’s free time session. The group chose to volunteer at "Wesley Manor", which is a retirement home local to the area. They spent time caring to the needs of the elderly by Singing songs performing drama and playing Bingo. Caitlin Pillows played the trumpet and Melinda Morgan wowed them on the piano. Afterwards there was plenty of time for swimming a socializing with other youth groups. Everyone was truly inspired and touched by the Holy Spirit. Can’t wait till next year!
