What are we studying? |
| From girls who gossip to boys who use physical threats (and vice versa), bullying is as rampant as ever. Vast amounts of personal information via social networking, texting, and even sexting means today’s teens are vulnerable in new and sometimes dangerous ways. This short-term study about abusive peer relationships helps participants identify, avoid, and heal from harmful situations while learning more about God’s love for them. |
Why is Youth Group important? Some Scary Statistics for Parents: 66% of High School Students will not graduate this year... 28% of Teens know a classmate or close friend that has used some form of synthetic drug... Over 3,000 youth started smoking today... On average, upon HS graduation, kids will have watched over 19,000 hours of TV with over 1,000,000 acts of violence... 1 out of 10 15 years olds have gone through a family divorce... 40% of our students have experimented with cutting or self injury... |
